Dr. Raef Madanieh

Dr. Raef Madanieh is a ABIM certified internal medicine provider with extensive postgraduate training and a diverse background in clinical practice, research, and academia. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Damascus University in Syria in 2010.
Dr. Madanieh’s postgraduate training began with an internal medicine internship at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore, followed by residency training at Atlantic Health System's Morristown Medical Center. He then served as a clinical research volunteer at the Johns Hopkins Ciccarone Preventive Cardiology Center and completed a research fellowship at the Center for Advanced Cardiac Therapeutics at Saint Francis Hospital, The Heart Center, in New York.
In his professional career, Dr. Madanieh has worked as a hospitalist physician at several hospitals across the United States, mostly addressing the shortage in access to healthcare in undeserved rural areas.
Dr. Madanieh’s research experience is extensive, having co-investigated several multicenter trials such as RELAX-AHF 2 and PARAGON-HF. He has authored peer-reviewed articles on cardiovascular disease prevention, cardiac imaging, and heart failure, published in reputable medical journals. In addition to his research publications, Dr. Madanieh has presented numerous posters and oral presentations at prestigious conferences, including the American Society of Preventive Cardiology Annual Conference and the American Heart Association (AHA) Scientific Sessions. His work has addressed topics such as diastolic dysfunction in preeclampsia, morbidity and mortality in congestive heart failure, and risk factors for coronary artery disease in young adults.
